Four injured in Ogun multiple accidents

Four persons were critically injured in an early morning multiple accidents on Friday along Abeokuta- Siun-Sagamu Expressway, Ogun State.

The accidents involving three vehicles were said to have occurred at Akinbo village around 7.45am.

The vehicles were a black Honda Accord marked KTU 541 DK, white Peugeot bus marked MUS 96 XM and a black Volkswagen Jetta marked AKD 832 DN.

Explaining how that accidents occurred, the Public Relations Officer of the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps, Mr. Babatunde Akinbiyi, said the Peugeot bus driver, who was on his way from Abeokuta, was trying to dodge a pothole and lost control thus causing the vehicle to veer off the lane and rammed into oncoming vehicle.

This caused another oncoming vehicle which driver wanted to avoid ramming into the two vehicles to veer off his lane before the vehicle eventually crashed.

Akinbiyi, who said TRACE personnel and Federal Road Safety Corps, raced to the scene, added that the injured victims were rushed to the Onabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital, Sagamu.
