2015 American Music Awards nominees announced

The nominees for the 2015 American Music Awards were just announced and the big show spells good news for Taylor Swift.

The ‘We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together’ singer, who already has 16 AMAs sitting at home in her awards cabinet, was nominated in 6 categories this year including the prestigious Artist of the Year, Favorite Album (for ‘1989’) and Song of the Year (for ‘Blank Space.’)

Today’s nominations also spelled good news for a number of Brits.

One Direction picked up two nominations, including a nod in the Artist of the Year category, where they’re joined by Ed Sheeran and Sam Smith, who will both battle it out against Taylor for Favorite Album.
